BACK THEN, WHAT DID THEY THINK?

In lieu of the so called " Moral Values" arguments circling around the nation it is always interesting to look back in our history on the thoughts of others about the issues and the leading provacetur of this argument, namely the church and it's various sects.
In 1921 Margaret Sanger spoke in front of a crowd at the Park Theatre, NY about the morality of birth control. A few excerpts from a time when abortion was not legal;

" The church has ever opposed the progress of woman on the ground that her freedom would lead to immorality. We ask the church to have more confidence in women. We ask the opponents of this movement to reverse the methods of the church, which aims to keep women moral by keeping them in fear and in ignorance, and to inculcate into them a higher and truer morality based upon knowledge. If we cannot trust women with the knowledge of her own body, then I claim two thousand years of Christian teaching has been a failure."

Now here we are in the 21st century where this thought has been grudgingly accepted and the stifling ignorance Ms. Sanger is railing against has been filtered down to the extreme elements of society. Unfortunately these extreme elements have captured a large enough piece of the pie in the mixed media to make the fear of the extreme yet again palatable. Another excerpt from Ms. Sanger's speech really brings home what we in this time are dealing with, the attitude of a few lording over the many.

" We stand on the principle that Birth Control should be available to every adult man and woman. We believe that every adult man and woman should be taught the responsibility and the right use of knowledge. We claim that woman should have the right over her own body and to say if she shall see or if she shall not be a mother, as she sees fit. We further claim that the first right of a child is to be desired. While the second right is that it should be conceived in love, and the third, that it should have a heritage of sound health."

Amen sister, and yet here we are again fighting for the right for women to choose. Even more ridiculous we are fighting for the right for birth control methods. We are fighting for the right for a woman who is raped to be able to stop the possibility of becoming impregnated from the scum bag who committed this heinous act. Ms. Sanger spoke to power.

The Sadducees are here, cramming their view points down our throats as we sit passively by. The phenomenon is not new this happened back in the day when the first Colonists were hamfisting ideas down indigenous peoples throats. At first the ideas were passed on by a firm prodding, little did the tribes know this was a formality, they were actually being given the opportunity to hand over their lands, freedom etc in a bloodless coup. Deny the colonists and more forceful means would be employed as history has proven out. In 1805 Chief Red Jacket of the Seneca spoke at a gathering with the
Colonists ,the takeover complete , nothing left but to wipe out the tribal spirituality;

" You say that you are sent to instruct us how to worship the Great Spirit agreeably to his mind. And if we do not take hold of the religion which you white people teach, we shall be unhappy hereafter. You say that you are right, and we are lost. How do you know this to be true? We understand that your religion is written in a book. If it was intended for us as well as for you, why has not the Great Spirit given it to us, and not only to us, but why did he not give to our forefathers knowledge of that book, with the means of understanding it rightly? We only know what you tell us about it. How shall we know when to believe, being so often deceieved by the white man?"

Chief Red Jacket follows these questions which hits right to the bone of any Evangelist in the mold of Pat Robertson or James Dobson that being" What makes you so right?" Red Jacket continues;

" Brother you say there is but one way to worship and serve the Great Spirit. If there is but one religion, why do you white people differ so much about it? Why not all agreed, as you can all read the book?"

Last but not least in light of the Pres. flaunting his so called conversations with God making legitimate in some eyes his spying, killing and bankrupting philosophies JFK as he so usually did puts things into perspective.

" I would not look with favor upon a President working to subvert the first amendment's guarantees of religious liberty; nor would our system of checks and balances permit him to do so. And neither do I look with favor upon those who would work to subvert Article IV of the Constituition by requiring a religious test, even by indirection. For if they disagree with that safeguard, they should be openly working to repeal it. I want a Chief Executive whose public acts are responsible to all and obligated to none, who can attend any ceremony, service, or dinner his office may appropriately require of him to fulfill; and whose fulfillment of his Presidential office is not limited or conditioned by any religious oath, ritual, or obligation."

So the Pentagon finally decide to release 6 minutes of video that would prove conclusively that Flight 77 had slammed into the side of the Pentagon.(video here: Judicial Watch ) Unfortunately on the video you see a tiny little white object at one side and poof there is an explosion on the side of the Pentagon. If you have ever stood outside and watched an airplane fly high in the wild blue yonder, you could do just that ,watch the plane as it flys across the sky. Or how about looking out the window at the airport watching the planes land , you could do just that, watch the planes land. On this video one second the object is there and the next second the object is gone. Even if you try as I did to watch the video frame by frame, one second the object is there and the next it's gone and boom explosion. Here is a creative video created by an enterprising person inserting a Boeing 757 into the Pentagon video. The fact of the matter is that 5 years later the Pentagon releases this crap and expects us to swallow it. Unfortunately the sound of crickets can be heard across a good portion of the blogosphere along with the ABC's, and NBC's of the country who covered the topic for a few hours spouting the idea of how conclusive the video proof is. Pishaw i say , at the least the video is proof of the need to see the rest of the videos taken around the Pentagon on that tragic day. Not one talking head questioned the fact that the Pentagon is still holding 84! other videos. Foisting these two measley scraps onto the public showing no proof of a plane crashing into the Pentagon let alone a 757 is another slap in the face from this administration and it is beyond me why anyone still gives any credibility to the actions of the aformentioned administration. They have already been proven to have lied about the reasons for the Iraq war sending thousands of people to their death why would 3,000 be any different?

The biggest threat to Democracy today is the infiltration of the Dominionists into Government positions. The Dominionists being the, whatever happens it is Gods will, philosophy camp. With a "born again" president this fragment of American society has been salivating to make changes to what they consider is wrong with America. Abortion , Gay rights( marriage), the environment and judicial activism(strangely enough) are some of the big issues which drive the American Talibans psychosis. What they have done is infiltrate important segments of Government such as the HHS( Department of Human and Health Services) pushing through damaging ideas such as, abstinence only education and the poo pooing of Global Warming. They are in positions where they can cut funding to third world countries such as condoms ( greatly cutting down the effect of AIDS in Africa) because hey if you get AIDS it must be Gods will, maybe those darn Africans just don't pray enough. What about Global Warming? Well geez God gave us dominion over the earth and the animals and what the hell, if the animals disappear and the earth drys up well this is Gods will and maybe this is the prelude to Armageddon. The Dominionist philosophy is whatever it takes to be closer to God no matter the consequences pray and get closer to God. Hence you have a President, who during the time of a massive hurricane destroying the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, is off playing guitar and celebrating birthday parties, because what the hell are you going to do in the face of Gods will. The scariest part is in the 2004 election 80% of our votes were tabulated by electronic voting machines and who owns these voting machines? Two brothers( Ahmanson) who just happen to be Dominionist. The companies they run are ES&S and Diebold and they proclaimed in 2004 their no. 1 goal was to bring the presidency to the chosen one( George Bush). And hey mission accomplished. Now they have 4 supreme court judges tearing down privacy walls(abortion) among other things and opening the way for Corporations to run roughshod over the country dumping toxic pollutants every where they go. Why because thats Gods will.

WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE......

Our Friends in the "WAR ON TERRAH" don't seem to be too friendly after all. Take our good buddies in Pakistan. Last week a story came over the wire surprisingly enough not picked up by any main stream media news sources documenting the fact that lobbyists for Pakistan threw their collective energy into influencing the 9/11 commission. What were these lobbyists so deperately trying to influence? Well one hint would be surpressing the fact that the head of the Pakistani intelligence agency(ISI), Mahmud Ahmed ,approved a $100,000 wire transfer to Mohamed Atta. Or how about this same gentleman, Mr. Ahmed , was meeting with future congressional investigators, Bob Graham and Porter Goss (now head of the CIA) on Sept. 10th at the Capitol no less. Pakistan is recieving alot of money from the US for the war, kinda makes you wonder what the hell that money is being used for.

Well how about that upstanding country Qatar? Not yet Democratized, still being run by a King (How about that spreading of democracy Mr Bush?) but hey they are the headquarters for the US Military to do press conferences and that has to count for something does'nt it? Well anyway one Al-Qaeda member escaped from their prison a few months ago but geez those crafty terrorists are hard to detain, it was an honest mistake was'nt it Qatar? Unfortunately not. In 1997 Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (Ramzi Yousef's Uncle ),the apparent mastermind of Sept. 11th, happened to be hanging out in Qatar, the FBI found out and went to get him. Certain officials in the Qatari government helped him to escape to the Czech Republic and you know the rest(Sept 11th). In light of the fact our government was willing to let Dubai be in charge of securing our ports(guilty of harboring terrorists) my question is, exactly how worried is the Bush Admin. about the so called terrorist threat?

DICTATION!

In light of all the secret spying and skirting of the laws of a Democracy one might wonder what previous Dictators thought about such things, I surely do. Well hey, how about the worlds most hated Dictator what did he think about such triviality?
" We would have far too much to do if we wasted our time with legal processes. I can't rely on the Mr. Justices of this world. It is therefore far more practical to arrest people without the sticklers for legal niceties getting wind of it. This right I claim for myself. I am my own Minister of Justice!
Well geez this kinda sounds like Pat Robertson or our own Der Fueher, Mr. Bush, agree wholeheartedly with Hitler. That can't be the case can it? Well some might ask how I can compare Hitler to these two august figures and believe me I feel terrible. I might not even be able to sleep tonight. Boy that Hitler quote does'nt even exemplify our President at all, well maybe just a little bit.
Well, regular people don't agree with that sentiment that Hitler was on to something ,that would be blasphemousness! But then again lets go to a " Christian" group that calls themselves," The Family". Basically these people want to rule the world with the guiding influence of Jesus Christ. That, God cures all your sins camp and if only everyone had Jesus in their heart the world would be a better place. Believe me this group is scary because many Politicians not just Republicans adhere to this worldview. But take a gander at how they interpret the " teachings " of good ole Adolph.

Well this is pretty scary, anytime you defer to a higher power it is impossible to appease. And guess what, these politicians believe in this shit. There is no partisian pols in this, members of both parties share the view that they have a higher calling and guess what this does'nt help anyone at ALL!

OHHH WHY DO THEY HATE US?

Why do they hate us seems to be a pretty simple answer.It's not because of our freedom or democracy, these are simple ideas for people who don't have the time to research the issue. When Paul Bremer was in charge he put forth the neo-con idea of paradise in place. Unfortunately these ideas have NEVER WORKED! EVER!
The Peeps at home were so hell bent on making their worldview work no matter how cock-eyed it was they forgot. They forgot supply-side or trickle down economics only work if you make more than six figures a year. They forgot(I suspect they did not care) this economic philosophy wipes out the middle and lower classes. Bremer put a provision into the "constitution" that makes it illegal to form a union. He also instituted a flat tax of 15% on everyone! On top of that the final injustice was the fact farmers who for centuries had planted crops and then collected seeds for next years planting were not allowed to do that! We are talking about a civilisation who has operated in this manner for 7,000 years! It is now a crime for the farmers of Iraq to use any seeds other than the ones coming from Monsanto. Geez outside of the house to house arrests and using Abu Graihb as a prison( the most notorious prison during the reign of Saddam) I can't imagine why the Iraqis are sceptical. Maybe they don't hate us for our freedom maybe they hate us because we abuse our freedom and push onto the world a fake freedom we would never accept in the US, or would we?
